CRT monitor/TV innards are for the most part less dangerous than microwave oven innards. A CRT anode (typically 25KV for color) can give you quite a shock, but there's not nearly as much current available as a microwave oven transformer can provide. Even though the microwave uses only around 2KV, it is much more likely to kill you.
If you're going to work on these things, without proper training, just make sure your life insurance premiums are up to date.

De #overheid begrijpt het concept van digitale mantelzorg niet geloof ik. Ik moet mijn vader elke paar dagen om een nieuwe machtiging voor een andere digitale zaak vragen. Bank, gemeente, waterschap, CAK, #belastingdienst, pensioen, … Maar dat kan hij niet meer, dus moet ik elke keer bij hem langs om die machtiging zelf te regelen met zijn DigiD app. En nu blijkt de belastingdienst ook nog machtigingen nodig te hebben voor losse onderdelen. Grrrr. #digibeet #mantelzorg

Kijk eens naar de ROI op AI, met name de LLM’s waar die enorme groei op gebaseerd is. Die is er niet. Geen van de bedrijven maakt winst, behalve de chipmakers. Sterker: voor winst is met de huidige hoeveelheid geïnvesteerd geld een economisch wonder nodig. Trap niet in het boosternarratief.

@NilaJones @elomatreb I've been playing with Comaps which uses OSM data (which is a thing you can upload to) and it looks pretty good. For my personal maps (with trails and secret camping spots) I use Caltopo, which accepts several different import formats. I've never tried exporting from Google though. Good luck!
