I've been making it to the office much more consistently this past couple of weeks. I'm not necessarily as productive as I want to be once I'm there. But making it there is half the battle.

I spent 3 hours reading a book and felt great, then within an hour of going back online I felt fucking awful.
Can't find anything I want to watch that isn't garbage, everywhere is fool of doom and division and other assholery.

I think the internet might actually be really bad for me.

Watching an online space that I used to find connection in slowly get taken over by edgy dickheads is making me sad.

I am prone to being a very pessimistic person at times.

Maybe it's all doomed to fail, all of it, everything from me trying to do something that might make one person smile for a second, all the way to humanity making it out of this century in one piece. Maybe.

But you know what is guaranteed to make it fail? Not fucking trying.

Don't want to try? Fine.

But don't fucking dare try to stop the rest of us.

My first shirt is about 85% complete. I think I will deliberately not finish it though. The only construction left to do is attaching the collar and the second cuff, but I know from trying it on that I've made some mistakes that make it unwearable. I can probably do some seamripping and rework to make it ok, but the level to which I'd have to do that is intimidating. (I'm not sure why, really I just need to undo the work of attaching one arm and do it again)

I've had a huge amount of fun with it though, and despite the setbacks it's boosted my confidence a lot.

Actually, I know what @vulgalour will say, I should do the rework because that's an important skill too...

I'm glad I have enough of this fabric to have a second go, because having tried on the shirt at the stage it's at, it looks really good on me, and I must satisfy @betkabot 's insatiable desire for Yellow.
