I just can't even bring myself to update and expand an old article I wrote less than 5 years ago about how terrible "only" tens of thousands of satellites would be in the night sky. A ca. 5,000 year-old wooden disc wheel from Olzreute-Enzisholz. The site is part of the UNESCO World Heritage "Prehistoric Pile Dwellings around the Alps."

The waterlogged, anaerobic environment provided ideal conditions for the preservation of organic materials such as wood. To date, three disc wheels have been discovered at Olzreute-Enzisholz. Dating around 2,900 BC.

On display at our branch museum Federseemuseum Bad Buchau.
