A gentle reminder to please have an active relationship with trust on social media.
Trust can sometimes mean "this account or person that I trust posted a thing", and that trust was established somehow over time.
But you can trust someone and they can still be mistaken (happens to all of us), with the added layer of "is the person / account holder I trust(ed) the source of what I am seeing now, even though it's on their account". You likely won't even / ever know the latter, as that'd be between an account holder and their local mod(s).

And if you understand this, you'll understand why Black women face higher rates of domestic abuse. Because a Black woman calling 911 to report domestic violence, is many times more likely to be arrested or shot and killed *by the cop* than a white woman.
Jacqueline Craig - called 911 because a neighbor assaulted her child. Cops arrested her.

She had to hire a lawyer to get charges against *her* dropped. Eventually the man that beat her child was convicted, and the department decided to change policies to not arrest lots of Black women that call 911.

Any #trans folks in the US have experience rolling 401k accounts with their old name into an IRA or other thing with their new name?
I'm mostly wondering about the order of operations: do I change my name on these various accounts and then move them, or something else? FWIW there are 3 accounts to move and 2 are thru the same provider.

We are Guernsey Trans Aid Network (GTAN) - a small charity dedicated to helping Guernsey's trans, non-binary, and gender-nonconforming community explore their gender identity and presentation, irrespective of their financial means. We were inspired by traditions from queer communities of keeping a common fund to help each other. The charity aims to operate as a hub for mutual aid from within and without the trans+ community itself.
We accept requests from our local community for gender-affirming products and services, and once a month we allocate funds to a request. When a request has enough funds allocated, we order it! A simple process,
