Her partner, Eich, is actually one of the chicks that had been raised by Inge and Ivica in that very same nesting area! He's from the clutch from 2022!

Last year's falcon drama was so interesting to witness! Can't imagine how excited Leander Khil was, the ornithologist responsible for setting up the webcam. It's not often you can witness such behaviour so closely!

Eventually, because peregrine falcons are a protected species, two of the weakest chicks were removed and hand-raised, to make things easier on Ivica while Tavda kept making it harder for him.
Interestingly enough Tavda never harmed the chicks. She seemed mostly just confused and/or curious about them, it was really fascinating to watch her tentatively interact with them!

All four chicks made it through and left the nest and now Tavda has taken over the nesting place with her own partner

So the pair that started it all in 2021 were Inge (female) and Ivica (male), and they had been raising chicks together until 2025. - It was then that the female Tavda showed up and presumably killed Inge, and left Ivica with four hungry chicks to raise.
Didn't help that Tavda kept stealing the kills Ivica brought to the chicks which she probably thought were for her. She might have believed Ivica was trying to court her with the kills

It's a lifecam of a nesting site of a pair of peregrine falcons, located in the tower of a historic church. It was initiated by ornithologist Leander Khil and has been going since 2021, and this year's new nesting pair is already taking care of four eggs!

Also there was some drama in 2025 I'll talk about in the comments haha

I am currently working on a graphic novel about a Harpy and a Huntress of harpies and their kind falling in love, and how that love ruins them both.
It's a story immeasurably close to my heart, and I am now starting to share its development, because I deeply believe in it and want people to experience it.
