PSA: In #kde Meta(Windows)-P brings up the menu to switch display configuration; so meta-P, enter switches you to external display only; Meta-P, Meta-P, enter brings you back to internal only. (enabling the HDMI on a laptop with a broken display)
Bonus advice: Label which monitor input your HDMI cable is going to so you can select it on the menu without trying all 3 of them, 6 times.

I love that there's a Linux /sys file where you can tell which way up your USB-C connector is. Anyone know of anything that displays all that type of thing? Connector, USB mode, power delivery, etc etc?

Arse; My cooling fan decided to part company with it's CPU on my old i7 - it's still a usefully fast machine with a useful PCI slot and is generally the machine I use for plugging PCI or PCIe stuff in temporarily.

I've used the ones which are a small block with 3 cables coming out - a PS/2 mouse, a PS/2 keyboard and a USB A - I don't think the one in front of me even has a model number on; when plugged in on Linux it appears as a 'Tangtop Technology' - but I doubt that's the brand on the adapter. You need an active one - the Model M's don't know USB, and USB ports don't know PS/2.

Some more BBC B screen shots - I put my beeb on a TV via UHF and os now I've got screenshots here from Acornsoft {Snooker, Monsters and Snapper}, and as a Bonus, PMS Multifont - which I think was part of a 64k external 1MHz bus RAM box; which I must look at some day.
(Was UHF always this bad but our TVs were small enough not to notice?)
(My Beeb only started some stuff after I took it's lid off - is it's got some heat problems!)

My Cumana disc drives seem to be working again; booted a few different disks on them. Alas the llayama 19" I'm using on my model B doesn't like the Acornsoft games modes; it works fine to the intros and is fine in all modes if I try them on other stuff. Hmm.
I think the Beeb might also be suffering from the heat a bit; I once saw it come up in 16k mode, and have had a few 'bad program' loading things. Time to go and clean stuff a bit maybe.
