I am very satisfied to report the 2013 game Michael Brough and I made, "BECOME A GREAT ARTIST IN JUST 10 SECONDS", has now been re-released on Itch with modern OS compatibility.

Originally made for the Ludum Dare game jam, GREAT ARTIST is an unhelpful art program, offering a large number of art production tools none of which work as you expect. Think of it as immersion training in glitch art, or a toy for babies producing colorful lights and sounds. Anyway, it's fun.

HYPERBLAM lets you design sounds and create music declaratively. It's devoid of AI, hosted on git.gay, and the most fun you'll ever have with HTML.

extra fun feature discovered by @paupowpow is that you can easily glitch the drawings by changing a few numbers in the svg code.

if i didn't gossiped about it to you already, pirate care (by @valerix, @marcell and @tmedak) is my favorite book (and project) of the last 5 years (and most annotated).

they formulate a synthetic strong framework to do, gather and think how to act against the criminalization of solidarity. it felt like carefully weaving a thread into a multitude of beautiful situated initiatives going from housing, farming, healthcare, childcare, transcare, migration and infrastructures. some that i knew, some that i discovered.

my recent shift in personal practice, going away from digital art and floss graphic design, and toward local activism - in the form of situated tech pedagogy, work for trans and precarious mutual aid networks, and fight against digital infrastructure extractivism - found empowering echoes and methods in this book that will stay with me for long.

above the inspiration, it is also a directory of existing projects we can contact, join, help, listen to and federate, and i know i'll open it more than once.
