These whole 6502-shenanigans make me realise how fun it is to build some fun little demos.
Pushing the hardware to it's limits, making it do shit it can't really do/is designed for it, optimizing the living shit out of your things, and being able to show the result for it, directly, visually, is really fucking awesome
There we go, Bad Apple on the 6502-based homebrew computer, rendered without any graphics related hardware over 19.200 baud RS232 UART!
It's slow as shit but I already have some further optimizations in mind.
Oh, and the video frames, together with the code to decode and print the characters, only takes ~9.9K of memory. It easily fits into the 32K of addressable SRAM, without conflicting with any zeropage stuff or the stack.

it's so ridiculous to me that air conditioning isn't a state sanitary code requirement like heat is. i think if we're going to regulate that landlords should maintain units in habitable conditions, it should not be possible to get seriously ill or die strictly from environmental causes in a compliant unit. idk. hot take, i know
