A hard ban on LLM/"AI" use in a FLOSS project is the moderate stance. I am not a moderate person.
Giving space to these machines is throwing the millions of people whose work they stole, the millions of people who suffer under their crawlers' assault under the bus.
We do not throw each other under the bus in a civil society. I hope you understand this to be the bare minimum.

AI is polluting the world and is a major problem in the context of climate change, and even if I don't use it, it is still hurting me
AI is actively destroying the scientific literature that I need to work with, and even if I refuse to use it, it is still making my life worse
AI is deskilling my colleagues and stunting my students' growth in a way that I can't fight or compensate for
I don't use it for anything, but I still can't fucking "opt out"

Nå som #VG og #Schibsted har bestemt seg for å være drittsekker, så lurer jeg på hva jeg bør gjøre ut over å si opp abonnementet mitt (som jeg allerede har gjort) og fortelle dem hvorfor? Jeg har betalt abonnement siden jeg avsluttet utdanningen min, men nå gidder jeg f*en ikke lengre.
Hvor effektivt er uBlock mot sporingen jeg heretter ikke kan unngå? Jeg vet jeg burde boikotte hele Schibsted, men det er i praksis ikke mulig. Så da blir det "nest beste" å bare sørge for at de får absolutt minst mulig ut av meg. Jeg blir ikke fornøyd før jeg får bind- og bleie-reklamer, for å si det slik.
Noen tips ut over private mode i browser? Bruker Firefox på PC, Safari på iOS (så lenge det varer)..
