Every time I read/someone tells me that their partner is "very jealous and that's why they need those rules to feel safe but it's fine", I think about my first boyfriend (monogamous relationship), who described himself as very jealous and yet somehow never made up a single rule for me to follow or complained about the time I was spending with other people.

Instead, he worked on it by himself. And he worked on it even harder when I came out to him as bi because, in his words, "it would be both absurd and impossible to be jealous of literally all your friends".

All those controlling partners I keep hearing about are less mature than a 16 year old.

Does anyone know of an #RSS feed where you can disable the refresh button? Or that's otherwise especially executive dysfunction friendly.
Ideally I'd want it to check at specific times each day (or as soon as possible if it couldn't). Barriers to checking more often.

If you live in a place where a data center is being built (or even in the vicinity), that MUST be the line in the sand. That has to be where citizens put their foot down and say THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN. I hate to say it, but your city council is where your best activism is going to be. These people have to be NEIGHBORS with you. Make their lives absolutely fucking miserable if they vote yes to these things. They should be quaking at the thought of saying yes to data centers. NO DATA CENTERS.

To lighten the mood we saw a comedy called THE FISHERMAN which was also about generational change and the struggle to adapt traditional ways to modern times. A magical talking fish is involved! Then back to serious DIYA is about the conflicts that the traditional practice of paying blood money for an accidental death can cause. Striking film. Not at all what I expected. If you are a fan of film festivals, try to find some of these near you. 3/3

Here's an idea of what's been playing at #NAFF. The Moroccan selection for the Oscars is CALLE MALAGA - a film about the descendants of Spaniards who fled to Morocco when Franco ran Spain. The main character is an 80 year old women born and raised in Tangiers. Her daughter shows up out of the blue and demands the mother move to Madrid as the daughter is selling the mom's flat! It's a story of resilience and the fight for dignity among the elderly. 1/3
