@cryptomator I've been using a Cryptomator at work for about a year. But about two week ago, opening word and excel files became *very* slow. It use to take seconds, and now it takes minutes.
I don't know what changed to make this happen, and I've tried many things to fix it. My only progress is that using word/excel in 'safe mode' makes them fast again.
I suspect it's the same bug as https://github.com/cryptomator/cryptomator/issues/4077 ... which was abandoned as an unsolved mystery.
So I guess my computer is cursed now?
I asked around, and it seems that the wave of goose memes was isolated to Mastodon.
It feels good know there is unique cultural content like that; not reposts from other sites.

In the 1980s, if you wanted your IBM PC to be faster for spreadsheets or CAD, you could buy the Intel 8087 floating-point chip. Internally, the chip runs special code called microcode. We opened the chip, extracted the microcode, and are figuring out how it works. 1/n

Man... I feel like the majority of my work day was spent on dealing with time-wasting rubbish due to other people taking shortcuts. And then on my way home I almost got hit by a car on a pedestrian crossing, because apparently the driver didn't notice the red light. (Or perhaps just didn't care?)
So I'm not in a good mood.
