Spain’s business practices mirror USA and this was done by Banco Popular (now Banco Santander) which was Puerto Rico’s main bank during my childhood.

I know we've talked about this before but I'm just so disgusted with how useless most search engines are now. They all second guess me.

The most obscure or unusual word is ignored so it's very hard to search for the intersection of a popular thing and an obscure thing.

I have a theory that for many people search has never worked well for them since they just didn't use computers very much, or it was not explained well. Now those of us who found search effective get to see what it was like.

How stupid is Windows? This stupid: It's a documented feature that you can open a file by selecting it & hitting enter - but if you select multiple files & they're not the same file type (e.g. Doc, PowerPoint), this feature simply fails silently.

The OS just does nothing.

With almost 4 decades of experience, this scenario either didn't occur to anyone or they decided to just ignore it.

Good Lord.

Today in "Teck fucking sucks now": Some stupid security theater bullshit just utterly undermined my habit of keeping a bunch of tabs open for later use - because surely, keeping a web page open for a few days is such a massive security risk, you just have to cut that user off with no chance of reloading the page, or even seeing which page it was, so all I get now on those pages is a security-check URL + "An error has occured, close browser & try again"... 🙄
