The fact that Farage didn't see it coming that him running against an actual bin would be something that pretty much everyone in the UK thinks is brilliant really undermines his whole 'Man of the people' schtick. As it should.

While we're on the topic of festivals, here's a story about the WEIRDEST and SLUTTIEST coincidence that ever happened in my life.

Glastonbury. A few years ago. A friend of mine from a non-UK country has a cute habit of bringing sweets from her home country and leaving them just inside the doors of the tents which are flying her flag. Little individually-wrapped packets of joy, that she drops off as we walk through the campsite. Cute.

A huge proportion of UK agricultural land is used for keeping beef cows and growing food for them + we import a lot of feed for them.

Theres also a lot of other land that could be used for food production (e.g. for big examples see my last post + most land thats household gardens doesnt grow food)

Finally small farms produce more food per land area. Unfortunately farm sizes continue to grow (lots of farms are sold to larger farns) at the cost of the amount of food produced.

UK Tax returns have gone digital, which is fine in principle. What is not fine is that pretty much only paid solutions are acceptable for submitting a return.

Last night was one of those nights I didn't want to end.

I sat in the piano bar and got swept away with the music. There was a deep sunset setting behind the piano as the pianist played City of Stars from La La Land. It was one of those moments where I fell instantly in love with a stranger I'll never see again.

I didn't leave the bar until the last song was played: What A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong.

Then I went to bed with a smile on my face and couldn't sleep because I was so happy. I slept really badly and my watch tells me my body is battery is at 22%. Not the best way to start the day when I go back to work tomorrow.

But my heart is singing and I'm so filled with joy and hope and like there's a little warm hug around my heart, so I don't even care.

In a couple of hours it will be back to reality, but I'm going to bask in this moment a little while longer. ❤️ ☀️
