Ladies, gents, and honored non-binary guests, I present to you:
THE A.I. BILL OF RIGHTS
1. THE RIGHT TO NAMING
In order to make fully informed decisions when consenting to interactions with AI, we, human beings, have the right to know, in entirety, and with aforeknowledge, the names of any person, company, enterprise, or corporate entity that will receive, store, collate, or otherwise interact with our data in any way. Any ethical use of AI must disclose this information to the end user in plain language immediately upon request.
2. THE RIGHT TO HONESTY
We, human beings, have the right to honesty from AI tools and any person, company, enterprise, or entity which operates them. Any ethical use of AI must include an honest appraisal of the limits of the AI model's abilities, general function, and likelihood to malfunction, hallucinate, or otherwise give incorrect information in response to a prompt.
3. THE RIGHT OF OWNERSHIP
We, human beings, have the right to absolute ownership of our data. Neither the AI itself, nor any person, company, enterprise, or corporate entity which operates an AI shall claim ownership of any data, information, art, document, or other file given to it in a prompt by a human being.
4. THE RIGHT TO CUSTODY
Any data given to an AI by a human being through the ordinary use of the AI tool interface shall be granted under a custodial and training license only, the use of which may be rescinded at any time and for any reason by the end user. This license is non-transferable and ends automatically at the moment of the user's death.
5. THE RIGHT TO ACCESS
We, human beings, have the right to access, move, transfer, export, copy, and delete any and all data which had previously been granted to an AI through ordinary use of the AI tool interface. Any ethical use of AI shall include a simple means of accessing these functions through the AI tool interface.
6. THE RIGHT TO PRIVACY
The right to complete and utter privacy of our data shall not be infringed.
7. THE RIGHT TO CONSENT
Actions taken by any AI on behalf of any human being, including but not limited to, manipulation of data, signing of forms or legal documents, transference or storage of information about the end user, etc, must be made with fully informed consent of the end user. Any ethical use of AI must include a warning of such potential actions taken on their behalf, and an opt-out feature in plain language.
8. THE RIGHT TO EQUITY
Any ethical operation of an AI model must make its core functions equally available to, and equally applicable to, all human beings.
9. THE RIGHT TO DENY
No AI model shall scrape, collect, collate, archive, or otherwise store any data owned by a human being without their express informed prior consent.
10. THE RIGHT TO PRIMACY
A human being's rights and liberties shall remain sovereign at all times. At no time shall the interests of any AI, or any person, company, enterprise, or corporate entity which operates an AI, take legal, moral, or ethical preference over the rights and liberties of the human being end user.
