Day 4 in a dark studio, reading for the audiobook. Reading one's own book out loud is a special kind of torture, especially when the sun is shining and you could be lounging poolside instead. I keep wanting to add stuff, as the story keeps unfolding.

If you want to know where a politician is headed, look at who else is paying their consultants. Newsom's crew is married up with crypto, tech and venture capital. They're cashing out to the highest bidder. And, as the saying goes, "a fish rots from the head."
