@bjango Hi, I just got an M5 Pro, and I see a minor issue with the CPU cores menu bar item:
- When configured to “Display: Super & Performance Cores”, it correctly shows 18 cores, but they are all painted as if they were P-cores;
- When configured to “Display: Super Cores”, it shows 12 cores (should be 6) in the wrong color; presumably it’s actually showing P-cores;
- When configured to “Display: Performance Cores”, it’s completely empty.

This appears to be specific to this item. CPU History seems correct, and as the first screenshot shows, the popup menu also counts cores correctly.

I’d like to congratulate Best Buy for their use of extreme precision calipers when measuring their products. At this point though you might need to say the room temperature and pressure when the measurement was made

Truly awful example of lensing. Serves no purpose besides looking cool. Rectangular selection in images often suffers from being hard to tell whether you’ve accurately captured the desired region or you’re off by one or two pixels in either direction, and Apple managed to make this ten times worse.

I usually talk shit about the state of Apple’s OSes in recent years, but iOS 26 did include an unexpected bugfix that’s huge to me: before, watching a video on YouTube (either the app or the website) and pausing/closing it would make the OS completely forget what was playing before, and using media controls or headphones to play would revert to default behavior (play from the Music app if available, or do nothing otherwise). Now it correctly returns to what you had before (say, Overcast), no matter how long it’s been.

Whoever did this, you have my full gratitude! I can finally have the Music app installed.

the reality: "Copyright IS NOT BY Apple Computer, Inc." passes the check.

Due to some funny coincidence, not only is the “MCP Servers” panel the only one that doesn’t remember its collapsed state and always appears expanded when you reopen VS Code, it is also the only one in the entire app that cannot be hidden.
