Security guard is a job. And we thought these things weren't going to raise local employment.

Some of you never made the Kessel run in under twelve parsecs, and it shows.
Stumbled upon Miss Magnolia Beaumont Goes To Provincetown, written and performed by Joe Hutcheson, and bummed that it was the last night cause I wanna recommend it.
Definitely gonna pay attention to what's going on at The California theater in Santa Rosa.

I'm gonna propose a very special hell for people who put spaces in directory names in code repositories.

All this time... they hate it. They hated how creative it was, they hated the serendipity, the intense meritocracy of memes and social vitality. All of the magical chaos that had me so delighted and charmed ...
I don't know why I didn't see this sooner.

I still think about a 1994 meeting with an exec from the Chattanooga... Forget if it was the Times or the News-Free press, though at that point it was clear that they were folding into each other. We told him exactly what was going to happen, he told us to come back when we'd figured out the business model for him...
Saint Prius X 2: Fake Bishop Boogaloo
splinter cult branch off the main cult has ordained a fake bishop (senior manager) against direct orders from main cult's CEO who reserves the right to ordain fake bishops per the existing organisational charter.
unlike other for-profit companies cults enjoy tax-free sales of their dogma services to customers and are not subject to regulatory intervention because the state trusts them to conduct business without problems arising.

"I know."
A Fedi version of Queer Eye:
Five autistic queer Fedifolk (one in a fur suit) travel to help out a regular person each episode.
By the end of the episode, the team have degoogled the recipient, installed a thoughtfully selected Linux distro on their formerly-windows machine, replaced much of their software with open source alternatives, stocked their home library with Murderbot novels and cozy queer SF, and given the recipient a new Special Interest to hyperfocus on.
@futurebird People have found playing the clarinet too hard, so going forward we’re giving everyone, including Benny Goodman, a kazoo.

99.44% of modern business is destruction of communities and legislation enabled value capture.
The other .56% is illicit fraud, rather than the every day enabled-by-law version.
A common discussion of late in Petaluma has been about "ebike" safety. I quote "ebike", because most of the complaints probably come from vehicles that are already illegal to operate on roads, bought by irresponsible parents.
But as we sit and watch people in big heavy vehicles blow through stop signs and ignore neighborhood speed limits (really, dude, you need to get to 4th gear in a 25MPH zone?), it's good to put into perspective just how car-brained the discourse is.

Most "designers" should be denied all of the tools we have provided them until they learn to use them responsibly.
Allow me to express my annoyance with sites that override the CSS for "a:visited" so that it looks identical to an unvisited link?
If you want to have your own branded-colors for both states, fine. But don't make them *the same* color.
Thanks,

So these signs went up all over downtown Ottawa, and now they are being taken down rapidly. The issue is the second word in the title, which is missing the letter “L”.
This highlights the difference between spell checking and proofreading.
