Almost bought an expensive new camera on a whim*. Caught myself and instead bought a £19.95 ebook for the last camera I bought (that I still don’t understand very well) plus a used metal lens hood so that I can stop futzing with a lens cap for protecting the glass in between shots.
*not quite just a whim. I had an older version with the same lens that I loved but it was stolen

Twice today I have noticed the mastodon web client only updating when I unlock my screen, at which point a flood of new messages render to the screen. It seems that is an awful lot of screen updates that don't need to be done. Not sure if this is an aspect of the v4.6.0 version?
