Bad part about #reading used #books is finding someone else’s hair between the pages or food crumbs that fall out 🤢

Maybe it’s a #genx thing but anytime I’m making any sort of #dessert type thing & the directions say NOT to eat the raw batter, I ignore that straightaway. I grew up licking the beaters/spoon & I’m completely fine.

I will say that I was a sickly child with not a great immune system but I never had any ill effects from consuming raw batter/dough & still don’t.

Also while I’m at it, I found something v interesting in Temple Grandin’s book: #autistic people need to be careful taking #antidepressants & usually need to start at a 1/4 or 1/3 of the lowest dose!! That has 100% been my experience. Yet the recent #psychiatrist & everyone else involved thinks I’m making up what I was experiencing! Where are people finding contemporary informed medical pros?? I would love to be able to function more typically. For me it’s the distinct #anxiety.

And why is #ADHD more widely accepted than #autism? People treat autism as if it’s leprosy & highly contagious. At least that’s been my experience.

tmrw is my first appointment with a new medical provider. I’m running out of hope of being seen & heard & not immediately being discarded into the aging female pile. I’m so close to giving up.

Getting #covid must’ve destroyed my immune system. Seems I can’t stay well for very long before I’m sick again. I had an upper respiratory infection for almost a month. now it’s flu time I guess 🫠

Once again on my exercise bike in the garage. Have my headphones on my ears, power is on but I haven’t turned on any music yet. Kinda enjoying the mutedness of everything.

Thank you mastodon for the brief distraction while eating a quick lunch. Day 2 attempt to clean All The Things. I did make headway yesterday despite being hampered with a #migraine. I’m feeling decent today so here’s hoping I can complete my to do list so relaxation can happen at some point.

I must say, I miss meaningful conversations.

Trying to get a medical diagnosis when you know something is off but no one will listen. No meds, including supplements, thrown at me have worked & most made it worse.

Oh yeah - I keep meaning to bring this up here. It seems to be everywhere about us living in a #simulation. Honestly, it's starting to feel more plausible.
When I was in college a million years ago, I had a professor who subscribed to the 'brain in the vat theory' & I've never forgotten that. Even more interesting - it wasn't a science-type class at all. Yet he was quite adamant about making this known to us.
Thoughts?

The dark circles around my eyes are getting really bad & I’m unsure why. The few times I go somewhere, they’ve been challenging to try to conceal. Google will probably offer up all kinds of reasons & solutions.

Last night I slept pretty well, thankfully. Much needed. However this morning I was woken up from a disturbing dream. Got up to utilize the facilities then went back to sleep, as it was still early. Another disturbing dream. Even though I could’ve stayed in bed longer, the sun was already making it too bright in the room & I knew I’d be risking another disturbing dream. So I’ll just try to distract myself until it’s bedtime again.

Drinking water is such a challenge for me but I don’t know why. Must be a #genx thing. Doesn’t matter if it’s plain, flavored, contains electrolytes or is a sports drink. Heck, I even nurse my coffee drinks.

Seems as if every time I come here I’m on the precipice of life changing events :/
