The AI kept suggesting I move from fdupes to jdupes. I resisted, but I really shouldn't have. It's nice. Especially the -O --param-order option, which lets us remove from a second directory tree what is in the first. For instance
Jdupes -r -O -d -N photos/ general/
That would remove matching photos from general, but leave photos intact.

It was reasonable to say ai was a con - at first. If you persisted when that was clearly untrue, have you thought about why you persisted?
I just noticed that the Google maps satellite view has been updated so that you can see the damage for the Pacific Palisades fire. It's really terrible and extensive.
It's tempting to look at some used thing in the market, could be a house or could be a car, and think "no one should spend more than I want to" for this. "It should be mine."
But some people do.
It's kind of futile to wish otherwise. There are high prices because somebody's paying them.
