I can’t remember whether I’ve mentioned this before but I’m going on tour this autumn: 46 shows across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, plus the last week of the Edinburgh Fringe.
It would be smashing to see you at one of these.

Clarification: please note that my show on 4th October features the reading of Bilston poems at the Milton Rooms in Malton, not Milton poems at the Malton Rooms in Bilston.

For the first time, I’m going to be reading poems at the #edfringe - seven shows from 24-30th Aug.
Along the way, I’ll be talking about AI, Clare Grogan, the power of poetry and how to achieve a basic level of competence in a limited number of simple, unremarkable things.

I’m reading poems at the Nottingham Poetry Festival tonight. A few tickets still available. Hope to see some of you there.
I’m reading poems at various festivals this week, starting with Leek on Wednesday, then Chester on Thursday.
They’re both sold out but there are still tickets available for my show at the Nottingham Poetry Festival on Saturday should that be of interest to you.
Here’s a poem called ‘What Don Corleone Did Next’. #worldotterday
Delighted to be on this week’s episode of The Verb, alongside the individually and collectively wonderful Ian McMillan, Martha Sprackland, Daljit Nagra and Ira Lightman.
It’s available for listening through the BBC Sounds app.

I’ll be giving it a run-out in early June at literary festivals in Leek, Chester and Nottingham and will do a cut-down version of it at the Edinburgh Fringe in August.
The autumn tour comprises 44 dates across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Yesterday I finished writing the show I’ll be going on tour with in the autumn.
It’s based around my book ‘Poetry is an Egg with a Horse Inside’. Along the way I’ll be talking about AI, Clare Grogan, the power of poetry, and how, if we could just believe in ourselves, we’re capable of achieving a basic level of competence in a limited number of simple, unremarkable things.

I have not finished it yet, but I am reading Brian Bilston's How to lay an egg with a horse inside. I'd really recommend it to all poetry readers and writers. It's a lovely guide to writing poetry, and as a bonus you get to read more of his poetry. @brianbilston
Shows in Bristol, Bury St Edmunds, Exeter, Leeds, London, Norwich and Stirling are also selling quickly.
Tickets for all my shows are available here: https://brianbilston.com/events/
