I use this whenever I get a scrape, small cut, blister, etc. Antiseptic, seals the wound, lidocaine eases any pain after a minute. But the first 10 seconds on an open blister feels like some is holding a burning cigarette to my skin. Worth it though. I think.

Full ice maker unit replaced on the refrigerator. It'll be a few hours before I can verify it's working correctly, but it was a pretty easy drop in replacement.
I also have a water filter coming tomorrow. You're supposed to replace them every six months. So I'm like 18 years behind on that... 😬 . I honestly didn't know there was a filter.

Phase one of refrigerator ice maker repair was successful. Cheap part, worked well. Not hard but complicated. Had to take part of the unit apart and put it back together. I got it wrong about 8 times before getting it right. Now it crushes ice and pushes the ice out.
Another part coming tomorrow. This is the ice maker unit itself, which has a leak, resulting in huge chunks of ice forming, which is probably why the other part broke. Also got this part very cheap.
Our refrigerator came with the house when we bought it 18 years ago. And it wasn't new then. The ice maker is acting up and I've been trying to fix it. I can still get parts for it, but the prices on the official sites are INSANE. Almost $300 for the tray that holds the ice that it creates. $60 for a little plastic wheel that pushes the ice out.
Fortunately there are lots of places, including Amazon and eBay that sell them for a small fraction of that.

We get a free Headspace account via our company healthcare plan. I've used Headspace before and it was ok, but a bit too gamified for my liking. But I thought I might give it another try. I said to myself, "... as long as it's not AI powered now'. So I checked.

of course I don't mean the "refactor this code base, commit the result, and release a new build" kind of tasks, but the "buy this item when the price gets below $x" ones, which is what people are promoting as the amazing new capability. We've had that for ages .
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that most "agentic tasks" could be replaced with a cron job and a script with a few conditionals.
