Thanks @beasts for 20 years of great service. Trying to work out which companies I've had a longer contractual relationship with, only ones I can think of are my bank and one of my pensions.

3/3 We identified a handful of servers with the vulnerable module built in to the kernel. We've contacted affected customers.

2/3 Prior to rolling out the mitigation, we audited servers and found none actually using the affected module.

1/3 copy.fail mitigation has now been applied to (almost) all customers taking our management service. Following our standard zero-day process, roll-out of the mitigation was staggered by DC. If you run Linux servers and don't know what copy.fail is, maybe you should consider our management service?

Finished moving all my websites across to Mythic Beasts ( @beasts) which will save me about £200 a year compared to my previous host, who suckered me in with a cheap intro offer. When the renewal came up and they turned the screws I was so busy/stressed with the game and my Mum’s illness I didn’t have time to shop around so got burned. I have super simple needs but don’t want to park my sites on some big faceless US corp like AWS/Cloudflare/GitHub. MB are extremely affordable and approachable

Possibly the best hosting company I've used. Very fast server connection speeds even on shared hosting. The VPS we had for work were excellent. And the support is what really makes them better than everyone else!

My current host has decided to vibe code their DNS management page. Needless to say, it's been broken for months. I used to get around it with their legacy cPanel access, but it seems they've disabled that for DNS management now. EDIT: I was being a moron - found zone management in cPanel. The crappy interface still stands.

I'd transfer my domains away, but they've vibe-coded the Registrar Lock bit, too, so that's broken.

And their first line support is an LLM which regurgitates the incorrect instructions from their documentation website. Instructions which, by the way, also look LLM generated.

Le sigh.

UPDATE: Got the EPP and transferred the domain to @beasts. I've heard so many good things about them, that I thought they were worth giving a go. Just waiting for DNS to update.

Pretty much finished migrating my website, including WordPress, email and core domains to @beasts; seems to be working working fine. My couple of odd support requests were handled great, especially since … I think all of them actually ended up me being a turnip in one way or another!

All much cleaner than the old cPanel set up I had; I can see how that's handy for some, but it doesn't half get in the way if you *know* what you want to do.

Just a couple of secondary domains to do as & when.

@kate when private equity got in on the party and started buying up registrars. I recently switched to @beasts for some domains and it's a dramatic saving.

I second this and I used customer support once I think, it was indeed excellent.

@stuffjolikes another vote for @beasts - I’ve been gradually moving domains and email over to them and it’s been trouble free. Their customer support is also spoken of highly, although I haven’t had a need for it (yet)!

@beasts @jtonline @stuffjolikes I have a VPS with them and use their DNS too. Great service, clear docs, lovely people. Zero complaints.
