Did I have some sort of cosmic ray blast hit my house?
I just logged into my #frigate install and had another malformed sqlite database...
This is running on completely separate hardware on a completely separate UPS.
sqlite3 .dump and re-ingesting seems to have gotten me back up and running, but so strange to have this happen twice so close together.
Going to Japan in a few days and I love my little Japanese DSi so much I think I need to pick up a #3DS …
Anyone have any tips? I’ve never owned a 3DS system.
I’ll mostly be in Osaka and Tokyo, and I’ve read I’ll “overpay” compared to what you pay in a more rural spot, but I’m still hearing prices that are better than what I can get here in Seattle.
A big owl just snatched something off my lawn.
We hear them in the woods pretty frequently but they usually stay out of sight.
Always great to get a chance to spot one.
Dumping the db and re-importing seems to have worked.
I got through a post expiration run today with out issues (pruning 2.2M records) and after a VACUUM and ANALYZE my database is down from 15GB to 5.9GB.
No malformed errors in the last 24 hours and all features appear to be working fine.
I'm not saying case closed yet, but we're avoiding all the issues I was seeing so far...
I wouldn’t say that coprolite is my top favourite fossil, but it’s certainly a solid number two.
We're back up with a potentially recovered database.
Going to see how it goes and keep watching the logs for now.
Wish me luck.
Shutting down in 5 minutes, status updates will be posted at @amd

I updated #gotosocial to 0.22-rc4 and turned on post expiration and now I'm seeing errors sqlite3: database disk image is malformed
Does anyone have a fix for this? I tried running sqlite3 recovery but that broke the web interface somehow and I had to rollback
Any help would be appreciated to save this instance. I'm uneasy with running a database that has errors long term, even if I disable post expiration
While I await my replacement steam controller, I have been using my others.
My Anbernic RG-P01 and 8bitdo Ultimate look so close as to basically be identical.
But the stick performance on the Anbernic is so notchy and delayed when using it on my PC (Fedora) with either the 2.4 adapter or over USB.
The 8bitdo works perfectly smooth.
Any thoughts from #linuxgaming ?
Cleaning out the pantry.
If you asked me, I would tell you we did this regularly.
These expiration dates prove that’s not true.
I'm having a few issues with this instance's database.
I've rolled back to a 4 day old backup to try and correct things, it seems to be working so far, but I apologize if you see broken threads or missing replies or something from the last few days.
one of the main problems with computers nowadays is that they got rid of the turbo button
I managed to print a stud that works.
As the mounting hole is threaded clean through the compound I need a flange to stop the threads, but that works out fine as the blind mounted (non-removable?) spring ball doesn’t line up with the new QCTP anyways.
Would you use bronze or steel for the ring? I’m leaning bronze but I’m curious about people’s thoughts.

Splashdown is a new Gemini protocol server that I just released like three minutes ago. It's written in PHP (of course), which means it can also execute PHP within a capsule. This will power omg.lol's upcoming Gemini capsule support, but I’m happy to share the source freely! https://source.tube/neatnik/Splashdown
PRO TIP: If you, like me, primarily use your phone flashlight to quickly find something in a dark place, and often forget to turn it off…replace your lock screen flashlight toggle button with a Shortcut that turns on the flashlight, waits n-seconds, then turns if off for you automatically.
I don’t have an Xbox but everything seems to be going this direction.
All my game purchases are now evaluated on a “will I get my money’s worth on this single play through because I might never be permitted to play it again”
I haven’t yet met a $69.99 game that met that threshold.
Fortunately the backlog is full of years-old, cheap games I want to play. https://www.theverge.com/report/960173/microsoft-xbox-disc-to-digital-feature-physical-game-collection
