That said what a pack of delicate and dishonest little whingers they all are! If there’s one thing I hate about football it is the diving and acting mortally wounded, followed quickly by miraculous recovery, that happens in every game. Would love to see them try to play AFL.

What would make football better: if a player needs to fall on the ground and roll around holding their face then they get a compulsory two-minute time-off to recover. If it’s actually a foul then a free sub occurs, no disadvantage in number of players. So tired of seeing actors playing the ref not the game.

ASUS PA32QCV 6K monitor: very disappointing. Nice image, OK coating, but the function just isn’t there. Not enough USB ports, a minor thing. It advertises KVM but if Thunderbolt is connected there’s no way to switch upstream USB to another computer! If Thunderbolt is unplugged and monitor power cycled, other computer sees the USB devices. But as soon as Thunderbolt is reconnected problem occurs again - that’s not a real KVM. Too bad because with slightly more firmware effort it could’ve worked.
Messed around with Xcode 27 a bit today. Looks like there’s a disappointingly small number of AI queries possible before a paid account is required for use 😒
Spent a bit of time with macOS 27 beta today; it feels like macOS should. Coming back to Tahoe and its disgusting corner radius on every window is making me recoil!

Every single time I move my desk, I spend at least 10 minutes looking for the software setting that has ruined my sound balance when I play music. Then I remember that I’ve probably just bumped the volume knob on the back of one of the powered speakers. And I have.
Mr. Inbetween may be the best TV series ever. Better than Breaking Bad, or Mad Men, or Sopranos.
I pulled out the travel zoom this weekend, it was a lot of fun to use a camera with real buttons and viewfinder again. Am getting serious GAS for a full-frame camera with lenses… a Zf? Such retro charm!
