Aside: I still sort of miss Apollo for reddit, and being forced to use their terrible 1st party UI (combined with reacting to the policy choice) was a big part of why I gave it up for a long time. Tapestry from @Iconfactory is a lovely way to follow the communities I’m interested in while minimizing my exposure to the rest of the junk on that site. Among its other niceties. To my mild embarrassment, I use reddit somewhat regularly (I’d stopped for a long time but fell back in). I’ve never been into gaming “karma”, but I’ve recently started responding with just “No AI, thanks.” to any obvious AI posts in subreddits I follow, and it’s been sort of encouraging how consistently that gets steady upvotes. I still don’t care about the karma number, but it’s nice how widely that simple sentiment resonates.

We’re taking a family trip with another family to Japan. We’re pooling childcare so everyone gets a little couples/friends time.

Anyone got any good date night ideas in Tokyo or Kyoto? Or for me and the other (also geek-inclined) guy without kids?
