Not at all. One of the reasons I was late starting writing - 50s - was I didn't think I had my own voice. Turned out I did.
Old girlfiend once pointed out that when I talk with a mechanic or other repair guy, my backwoods accent comes out. It's unconscious. I don't know why it happens.
Anyway, today a guy came to fix the internet - it was out since the storm over the weekend. I sounded like a hillbilly.

It feels lie all my creative endeavors are internally motivated. I have read/seen/heard things that I liked, and I wanted to try to do something similar, which is not quite the same thing.

One. I think using two is a British thing, like how they say "aluminum" and "garage" weird.

I was on the front porch looking at the storm clouds, and then a crack of lightning and thunder made me duck and cover. This is the kind of storm that takes down trees and power lines. Seriously awesome.
No city fireworks display could ever be as impressive and beautiful as the thunder storm rolling across the sky this afternoon. Truly magnificent.
I frequently wonder why more women don't kill men.

I shelved a piece called The Bird Watcher because I got bored writing it. There's a good idea at the heart of it. Might pick it back up someday.
Yes, this is why I'm don't fully believe in a right to roam, because people will act like it's theirs to pollute how they deem fit. Our throw away culture means there is litter everywhere. I find people want to go to these places purely to show off on social media. Look at the photo I got! It's nothing about connecting with the landscape and nature. It's just something else to monetise and get likes for online.
It makes me sad.
Saw a report that the possibility exists that there could be a way to get to Mars and back in 153 days - much faster than the accepted 2 years. It would have to happen at a specific time, when the 2 planets' orbits are relatively close, and there is no existing rocket capable of achieving the required velocity.
Friends, ain't nobody gonna colonize Mars.
