3) Newly created cases

-works on Aotearoa phone networks
- need to be able to use some apps that are only available on play store/apple
-I'm quite not tech savvy and have a hard time getting round to things
-budget, lol

Desires:
-doesn't spy on me
-Works without me needing skills I will struggle to learn

From bits I've been hearing here and there I need a "sandbox" to keep that play store away from anything else I do
Graphene OS is the only option for going that
I'm going to need to buy a pixel phone to run it

Questions:

Also lovely people, I avoid talking politics because there are people articulating how I feel out there far more eloquently. But if you've followed me for any amount of time, you'll know that my philosophy is kindness first.

This gender bill going through NZ parliament is truly horrendous.

The people who are promoting it are far from being kind. As someone who has many wonderful trans and non binary friends and who identifies as non binary, the thought of this bill passing here in this wonderful country that I'm now proud to call home fills me with nothing but sadness and dread.

If you're not registered to vote, or if you feel disenfranchised about the system enough that you don't feel your vote will count, I get it, but please know it really will.

Just the act of you registering or going to vote is showing the vulnerable people around you that you care.

If this makes you want to unfollow me, please go in peace. But know the very reason I've learned to see so much joy in the world is because I've often felt like an outsider and have needed to ground myself in the reminder we're all wobbly humans bumbling along in this daft thing called life.

So while we're all wobbling along, why don't we do it kindly?

tough to overstate how quickly science funding in New Zealand has been blown to pieces - on Friday the NZ govt straight up disbanded the Marsden fund (our version of the NSF) it'll be replaced by a 'transition fund' with less money and zero information, as of yet, about what it will support #nzpol

I don't want to share it, but I've seen a screenshot of NZ First's social media saying their transphobic definitions bill will have its first reading at 7pm tonight.

I see no reason here for immediate panic. But at first glance this seems like a better overview than what I'm seeing reported elsewhere.
Particularly note that the oft reported assessment of human to human transmission being rare and requiring close prolonged personal contact gives a different impression from transmission in a well studied outbreak including a number of cases arising at a "crowded social event"
