Drawing prompt #2 "Draw fruit with your non-dominant hand." This was tricky... i also did the shading with my non-dominant hand, which was quite tiring. Weirdly, my dominant hand was twitching all the while, like it was saying, "oh my god, you're so rubbish, just let me do it!". #drawing #drawingprompt

I found a list of drawing prompts this weekend. So I dusted off my pencils. It's been at least 12 years since I've drawn anything! It was a little daunting. The first item in the list is "Draw a bunch of mushrooms". That's open to interpretation. It could mean a bouquet of them, or simply, mushrooms. I drew a simple row of them. And then I kept going. I turned it into a little story with houses, and a wizard. I messed up the moon, but overall quite pleased with it ... #drawing, #drawingprompt,

My own father lives abroad, so I'll be ringing him later for a video chat. I haven't seen him irl for 8 or 9 years. Sad really, but that's his choice.

Meanwhile, my own family and I are off to a monster truck show today. It's gonna be hot and noisy!

Another heatwave is upon us. The boy is having a friend over for a sleepover tonight. They are hooked on a series called The Amazing Digital Circus #TADC (We call it tadca for short). Anyway, after recently watching the final two episodes at the cinema, (and his friend seeing them 2 more times in the cinema), all episodes are on Netflix from today, so these 2 are doing a tadca marathon tonight. Each to their own.., I'll be sitting in the garden having some peace. ☺️🎨🖌️

We live in a little town in the countryside and have two cats who enjoy visiting the field behind our house and bringing wild rabbits home for us. I don't enjoy that at all. Sometimes, we're able to rescue the bunnies and take them back to the field.

Our neighbours enjoy watching this from their window (nosy buggers).

Please stay for a while and say hi, it's always nice to make new friends. 😊 (Except if you are my nosy neighbour... then I'm not interested)

My husband practises African drumming. He goes off to several events a month. His teacher once, fondly, referred to me as his "drumming widow". So true!

I'm also mum to a fabulous boy with ASD. To say that he has changed my life is an understatement. I am inspired by him every day.
