Good morning lovely ones.
I'm still not sure if I'm alive or not. Yesterday was a lot. The train through was far too hot and made me ill, really struggled to keep myself upright. It took 90 minutes to walk about a mile, I didn't even have time to go to the pub (not that I was fit for that).
Mean Girls was good, but the first half felt a bit flat, I think that was more because of how I was feeling. The second half was a lot better. I do love the fact that the official programme is called Burn Book.
Walking back to the train station was a little easier, possibly because it was raining so cooled me right now. The highlight of the walk was a young person coming up to me and saying shyly that they liked my bag and thanking me for it. I love this bag, it helps to spot the bigots as they start frothing at the mouth when they see it 😉
Pitbull had a gig in Glasgow last night, so seeing all the folks wearing bald caps was highly entertaining if a little confusing until The Spawn explained to me that is what his fans do.
The train home was pretty quiet, although there was a leak above my seat, someone else had the same issue. Thankfully I was able to move to a different seat.
Getting back into Dundee, it was absolutely lashing down, so I ended up getting a taxi home. I had the worlds chattiest driver who told me his life story, I even got to see pictures of him when he was younger. Faking being interested while feeling so awful is hard work, but I'm a polite person.
Normally when I get home from a long theatre day, I stay up late to decompress and to eat. Instead I was in my bed within 30 minutes of getting home. A huge spider crawled out from behind my TBR pile as I grabbed a book, that startled me a bit. As soon as I lay down in bed, I started feeling a lot better, so I'm voting on train stations having a safe place to lie down before or after travelling 😂 I did end up staying up too late, reading a very good book.
Today will be a very slow day, probably spend a lot of it in bed because I am still feeling grim but very glad to be upright and not feeling like I'm about to collapse.
