Der Kunst ist es egal, ob sie Kunst genannt wird oder nicht. Kunst möchte nicht gefallen. Kunst möchte kratzen, stören und Fragen hinterlassen. Entscheidend ist nur, ob sie die Menschen berührt, selbst dann, wenn dieses Gefühl kein angenehmes ist.

Reposting a photo from a 2013 San Francisco Pride celebration. I took this photo a few months after the 9th Circuit Court ruled California's ban on gay marriage was unconstitutional. It was a full 2 years later that the Supreme Court's Obergefell ruling legalized gay marriage across the United States.
I wish my best to these two, wherever they are. I hope they are as happy as Chris and I are now.
