Last night I rediscovered my home video projector. Bought cheap, I drag it out now and then, but we don't have a lot of clear wall space. Then I realised I was supposed to be working out, so I took it through to the spare bedroom/gym and WOW! Enough wall to show widescreen Star Wars in STYLE!

Well, I just got let go from my job after 2.5years so it’s time to find the next thing.

I have almost 30 years experience with #PHP and for many years was one of the community’s loudest voices about testing and code quality.

I like helping teams turn business requirements into working software and refactor applications and modernize them to conform to patterns and practices that lead to better outcomes.

I am looking for 100% remote roles where I can use my PHP (with a bit of Python ) skills to help your project get better.

So, 10,000 views on my website so far this year. That led to forty clicks on links to my publisher. Of those, EIGHT led directly to my own work. Of those eight, I have no idea which, if any, even read the things, let alone bought one.
At this scale, I have to make ten times the views to get eighty clicks on my actual work, which MIGHT increase sales a little. Each year. Right now I am posting every other day, and it's exhausting.
No point to the post, just needed to get it out of my head...

By the way, I'm only 25 views away from passing TEN THOUSAND views on my blog this year. I know that doesn't sound like much, but last year I got eight thousand views IN TOTAL, so I'm doing better this year!

I like computer games, but I don't want to spend my spare time with random kids avoiding their homework, so I don't do multiplayer on ANYTHING. Shocked to see the game I just bought on Steam was 40gb for the main game and EIGHTY GIGABYTES for the sodding Multiplayer. I am downloading and installing the game, not the multiplayer nonsense.
