Meta Platforms said in a court filing on Monday that four states were seeking $1.4 ​trillion in penalties over accusations that the company designed its Facebook and Instagram platforms to addict young users.

I don’t like it when people bridge their various socials into Fedi but never interact with the populace. I get it, you want your msg to reach a bigger audience. But not interacting on this platform feels a bit like being used from my POV. Like you want my attention, but you yourself don’t have the time to interact. I wish this aspect of internet didn’t exist.

Everyone acknowledges that roads only work as a network.

The same can, and should be said, about public transit, about bike infrastructure, about sidewalks.

I see Ms Bateman is apparently besties with Graham Linehan. She’s still in the #GreenParty England & Wales, and fundraising to take legal action against their inclusivity policies. It’s interesting that she claims her views to be science based, when science clearly shows the vast diversity of sex, gender, DNA. Humans are not binary, no matter what she claims. Hopefully the Green Party can remove her permanently from their membership. #TransRightsAreHumanRights

When the car dies we can recycle some of the metal and the catalytic converter."

A great tragedy in my life is that I like wearing long dresses and flowy trousers, but I also enjoy ride a bike that has no guard around the chain. This is especially an issue when I’m cycling to work as I do need to look presentable there and cycling gear is… not that.

Gander Social is announcing it's staring tomorrow, #Canada Day. Trying to log in is a real pain though; access depends on #CanadaPost for location verification, which is denying everything. I am a patient soul, but it's been 30 minutes of trying; fruitless effort. #goodluck on their startup.

I will remain invested in my homeland doing good things, I will be watching from afar. I will continue to vote in the elections I'm allowed to vote in.

It might be a decade or two, if I live that long, but at this point, I do intend to come back some day, especially if things improve, or even return to the much better levels they were at up until recently.
