First, they call you crazy.
That's actually as far as I've gotten.

There *are* oyster farmers, he's just not one of them.
If I managed a hiring process it would involve an onsite visit, the candidate when arriving at the door would interact with a staged scenario involving a homeless person and a box of kittens with a "free to a good home" sign.
What to the interviewee would appear to be a casual side discussion about the homeless person and the kittens would actually be critical decision points for the interviewer.
You get that he was never an "oyster farmer" right? You get it now, right?
BREAKING: No one cares about Mitch McConnell.
"The "Democratic Establishment" has all the power."
Yeah, that's what "establishment" means.
Obsessed? Maybe.
Today I am curious about how we'll select delegates to the emergency convention, I suspect the party leadership will pick from among party "insiders".
I've met some party leaders in both Portland and Rockland and they have been, to a person, decent and committed, I am absolutely certain we will end up with a much better candidate.
The Platner thing follows the same arc as Bernie after Iowa.
The Bern concluded he had much more power than he actually did, called us "establishment Democrats" then crashed and burned.
There is talk of selecting 50 Democrats to vote for the new candidate. Any student of statistics knows that will work great as long as the voters are selected randomly and for some reason all choose to participate.
It has to be *all* registered Dems.
Mitch McConnell 2024: "At least I'll enjoy a dignified death."
The bad news for Mitch is that it doesn't really matter if he's alive or not.
"We just need a Platner but less rapey."
You mean someone who treats women with respect?
"Sure, whatever."
Platner supporters demanding that their choices be respected in the process.
Or what? You'll nominate *another* shitty candidate?
Carty at the memorial service: "I'm sorry for your loss but you get that he never existed, right?"
Platner supporters here are behaving like "Good Platner" literally died. We are not children, acknowledging that, in retrospect, Good Platner never existed is important to operating an effective political party.
I'll give them one more day, we have actual fucking work to do to select new candidate.
Policy is not the issue, the Democratic Party platform is fine.

Policy is not the issue, the Democratic Party platform is fine.
We just need to nominate and elect good people.
"She was still pre-Ozempic"
"Fuck it, we'll let Maine decide" is not a terrible strategy, actually.
