Rewatched "The Fifth Element", perhaps the best test of my new sound system to date. I was watching it a bit late at night, so I couldn't really max out the volume or anything (not that I'd want to), but I think it did pretty well, including some directional effects.
30 minutes of elliptical!
That the director of "Kubo and the Two Strings" also directed "Bumblebee" has increased my interest in seeing that film.
Prompted by last Sunday's viewing of "Coyote vs. Acme", I decided to rewatch "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" Parts of it look a little dodgy, but by and large it holds up and remains quite entertaining. I also didn't see anything that would outright contradict both films being in the same timeline.
"Kubo and the Two Strings": Hey, that was pretty good. I didn't really reccognize that a lot of what I was seeing is stop-motion, which makes it even more impressive (watch the end credits for an awesome behind-the-scenes segment). I wish I had a better understanding of the underlying culture.
Nice to get exercise unrelated to moving.
Achievement Unlocked: Used an elliptical trainer for 20 minutes followed by 10 minutes on the treadmill, the second used to cool down a bit after getting my HR up to 151.
Let's see how much my body hates me tomorrow...

Friday night's alright.
Heh heh. Was browsing LinkedIn and there was an ad for OpenAI, which I promptly reported as "seems like AI slop".
No regrets.
One thing I don't really like with regards to the merger of my company and the changes that entailed to my role is that there are a lot of people who I used to work with who stuck around, but I tend not to even hear about it when they leave the company, so there's a bit of a "What happened to them?"
I now have a channel that shows "Will & Grace" apparently 24/7, which is kind of amazing...but apparently there's a number of episodes that divides evenly by 24, because it now seems like if I turn on the show right after work it's always an episode that I recognize from having seen it recently.
I do think in terms of aesthetics that my hardwood floors are pretty great, but as someone who likes to wander around barefoot or in just socks, they can be a little unforgiving sometimes.
Got warm enough for me to turn on my A/C, even though it's only 69F outside.

It's currently 45F outside. Inside it's 69F.
It's supposed to get up to 74F today, so we'll see how warm it gets inside.
I'm genuinely shocked by how well this place retains heat.
