Shitty GenAI is making Shitty Hotel even shittier. AirBNB has been garbage for so many reasons, this feels like little more than a rounding error.

"Putin's Puppet": Clinton warned us almost exactly 10 years ago on 10/19/16 #puppet

With Albert Heijn leaving their fridges on the public Internet, and they're still not recovered to the point they can do deliveries. I've placed an order with Picnic who only do delivery.

They had a couple recipes that I used to add things to my basket, and one of the best things they did after check out was that they emailed me the recipes. 8 won't forget why I ordered chopped carrots.

"Classic Caesar salad recipe"

...

Mayonaise.
No anchovies.

I'm not sure what they think the word "classic" means there.

Meanwhile, Larry Ellison and his pals have locked out of TikTok the account promoting the new, scathing documentary about Elon Musk.

Big (Tech) Media is on a censorship rampage aimed to shut down the critics of the escalating right-wing extremism.

If you want to do your remote job from another country:

- First, talk to the employer in case their are security, tax, or contract restrictions.
- Check if the country you are interested legally allows digital nomad visas
- Understand the tax and work restrictions included in that arrangement.

If you can't digital nomad, look at something like a con that pays travel. Conference attendance is usually a business visitor activity.

You can also look at a temp or permanent transfer with your company to their local, visa sponsoring unit.

None of this is easy, but it will keep you from deportation.

I haven't been in the GVRD in ages, and I have no idea what Pete Fry is about, but the big takeaway in Vancouver is "Fuck Ken Sim"

From a short file I saw in October 2016. It's about third-party voters.

Today is Charlie Kirk's birthday and so I would like to share my favorite quote of his:

"Aaaaaah I'm burning aaaaaaaah the demons are poking me with their pitchfork ahhhhhh oh no I should never have been a Nazi piece of shit ahhhhhhh"

i know people on here may joke about blowing up datacenters, but let’s be honest and admit that datacenters are really big and it’s probably not feasible to blow up a whole datacenter

blow up the hvac systems of a datacenter instead

❗️Zelensky says Starlink restrictions remain active in Ukraine, disrupting interceptor drones, logistics and military operations. According to him, connections cut out completely above 161 km/h, causing drones to be lost. Ukraine then tested vehicles equipped with Starlink terminals inside the EU at speeds above 180 km/h, where he says the systems worked normally. Zelensky said Kyiv has logs and evidence and concluded the restrictions inside Ukraine are deliberate. #Ukraine

The longer I live on this Earth, the more I understand why geese just attack people randomly.

On the current spam wave some of you experience on the Fediverse: I think @stux is right by suspecting it might be one or more 3rd party apps or services that got hacked or are leaking authentication tokens.

So. Go to your account settings and check the "Authorized Apps" part. Revoke the permissions of apps you don't use anymore. Consider it housekeeping and make it a regular Todo :)

I like em all but the Victorian English option will absolutely have their head spinning. 😁

A Der Speigel correspondent on why he is leaving the USA.

https://archive.li/jw5Bs

'I don't recognize America anymore. I feel like a stranger in the country for which I left my own behind in the early 1990s, when I went to the US. Los Angeles is still Los Angeles, but it feels like a film set of Los Angeles. Washington is a mausoleum with larger-than-life Trump banners. Even New York City, my home, is sometimes just a backdrop of reminiscences, held together with tape and superglue. The southern US will soon be an uninhabitable oven, the West is burning up, the coast submerged – yet climate change, if you believe the government, is a hoax. Conspiracy narratives are the new dogma, reality is fake news, chaos reigns.'

Look, I know some people really neeeeeeeed the new apple phones, but seems like many also need a little perspective when they have to wait a couple months for delivery and have a phone less then 2 years old in your pocket now.

This isn't about you, reader.

Or is it?
