Just ‘straya things.

Accents are funny. Adam let the dogs in and there's been a bit of gentle rain so their paws were muddy. I'd also just boiled the kettle.

'Hold on a sec,' I said to Ella, 'I'm just going to pour the tea and then I'll clean your paws.'

And it made me smile because pour and paw rhyme in the accent I use, and I remembered the time we were going to an op shop and Adam suggested we go to the Community Paws one (run by the animal rescue group) and I heard 'Community Poors' and thought wow, they're really leaning into the idea that the op shop is for the lower socioeconomic groups, seems a bit pointed.

Because poor and paw (and pour!) sound the same, hahaha

Tell me, Fedifriends, what's the difference in your accent? I'm so keen to know!

This house alternates between being very boring and utterly bizarre. There are many more weird photos than this and I had trouble choosing.

The countdown begins...

#DefaidodonDay 2026: November 7 means one thing and one thing only.

Woolly baad puns.

And sheep.

So, two things.

A colorful sunrise and cholla cacti at Hellhole Canyon Trail, Anza Borrego Desert State Park. I captured this view amidst light rain at sunrise; cloud colors were absolutely stunning.

Finally sat down and made a new hello video, My 1st one was back in 2021 on Twitter, so I thought it was a perfect time to make a new one. So Hi Im Jayy, your favorite oddity. #maker #robot #Introduction #craft

🛸 "Wait... why is today the first time I am hearing of Mastodon?!" 🤔🪐
My tiny alien brain is officially short-circuiting! I’ve been broadcasting my art and videos out into the cold, algorithmic corporate void of the internet for YEARS just to get crushed by the algorithm... Only to find out there’s a whole cozy, ad-free, human-driven universe over here in the Fediverse?! 💫

WHAAA?!!!
I am confused but highly enthusiastic. :3
If you are new here like me, or just want to adopt a friendly spacey artist into your feed, let’s connect!

🎨 Art is my full-time job, but I also drop daily video shorts, stream gaming shenanigans, and write cozy sci-fi lore!

Please give this a Boost to help a new space-traveling indie creator find her community! 🔄💖

🍂 Natural Bird Art - Hannah Bullen-Ryner in the UK. Using only petals, leaves, and seeds, Hannah Bullen-Ryner crafts intricate birds on the forest floor.

These works are as fragile as they are stunning.

The Tarot author who decided to call their book “Big Deck Energy” has pretty much made my morning.

It surprises many, but as a younger kid, I was never really interested in science. I found it tedious, frustrating, needlessly complex.

That was until one day when I wandered into the front room, where my mother was watching this colourful show about an eclectic bunch of characters on a spaceship.

She said it was Star Trek, but it wasn't. I'd seen Star Trek, it was those films where that bunch of middle-aged people in red tried to kidnap whales or shoot God in the face, or something.

Vampirella no. 15 (May 1982)

I'm not really up on Vampirella lore but apparently Pantha is her buddy and while Vampirella's clothing runs to "95% nude" Pantha's just full-on nude at this point? Or wait she's wearing underwear so only 99.5% nude.

For some reason Pantha looks British to me, I can't explain it.

Thank you for reading my release day whatnot.

Any typos spotted in this post are both happy their book is out today, alternating with being tremendously sad that Patrick Stewart has passed away. If typos spotted, please beam them up to a nice cup of tea on the Enterprise. They'll very much appreciate it.

Sometimes the best ways to relax are the simplest. For example, enjoy a cup of tea. Earl Grey. Hot. #gooderliving

I've never apologised to a snail before, but I'm wondering if I need to apologise to Sheldon for this. I just wondered if it would fit, and then it did so... @afewbugs
