What do you think about #Mistral Large 4? Do you use the model for #coding projects?

The #Binance 'hack' is wilddddd...

Zelfde wachtwoord, andere hash. Tabel waardeloos.

#Framework laptops are sooo expensive :/

Why is Public Key Infrastructure so confusing (especially for beginners)?

This comment says it all... hehehe

I like the new #Mastodon desktop GUI :) Hbu?

You gotta start early with the #Linux indoctrination ;)

This is what the internet should be about... Valid and sound information and awesome resources: https://wiki.osdev.org/Expanded_Main_Page #os #dev #opensource #linux

Zondag... Mijn favoriete magazines lezen :) #Linux

Watching the KDE documentary. Highly recommended!

AH is still down. I really wonder what happened...

Does anyone have any experiences with the FOSS app 'Knit'? It's an app for communication without internet and servers.

How to become a better IT specialist?

Stop achieving certs (I was guilty of it too!!). It took so much time away from solving and learning from real-world scenarios.

Start some practical projects, e.g., deploy a web server on your laptop and 'serve' your own simple Python app. Learn about (Linux) processes, APIs, DNS, certs, and so on.

gdb shows what your binary actually does and why syscall argument registers matter:

(gdb) disassemble
=> 0x0000000000401000 <+0>: mov rdi,0x5de6
0x0000000000401007 <+7>: mov rdi,0x0
0x000000000040100e <+14>: mov rax,0x3c
0x0000000000401015 <+21>: syscall

The kernel reads rax and rdi blindly from registers. If a bug lets you write memory, you can control those registers before syscall; swap rax to 59 and exit becomes execve. Same bytes, different program.

Btw, I passed the exam :)
