It's November 3. How the fuck is it 22C here in middle of Ontario?

The baseline recipe I use for banana bread doesn't include vanilla. Can you imagine?

So of course I use vanilla and nutmeg and cinnamon in there.

... well.

Time for a cup of tea, Earl Grey, hot.

Oh holy balls. Reading the judge's decision on US v. California, the case where the DOJ was trying to disenfranchise 20,000 Californians. Kind of impressive. I read how they picked those Californians, and I have to shake my head twice because honestly and truly what the fuck.

They bought a list of voters from a 'trustworthy third source' which was then vetted through some kind of heuristic algorithmic analysis, by which I'm going to guess fucking ChatGPT. And glanced at, presumably, by one guy in a boiler room office.

And only 7,035 were in Los Angeles, out of the 20,000+ sent to the County.

And these chucklefucks are who we're supposed to believe when they tell us that folks are voting illegally? These assholes couldn't find their own sphincters with both hands, a map and a bloodhound.

Picked up a big container and a bunch of macaroni and cheese powder from the Bulk Barn, because we were there and I'd told myself that I would next time I was at the place.

Now resisting the urge to label it 'hot girl dinner'.

I would like to congratulate Mark Carney on making it very clear to BC voters that the functional difference between the Liberals and the Conservatives is that the Liberals will promise a better future before stabbing you in the back and handing your future over to the fascist megacorps anyway.

I feel, genuinely feel, for the people who are going to have to disentangle the shitshow that is vibe 'coding' somewhere down the line.

Because just imagine. Reading someone else's code was a nightmare before that code was stolen, mangled, and shoved back out as a miserable collection of hideously deoptimized slop. Reading LLM output and trying to decipher, optimize and debug that? That'd be like trying to make sense of an hour-long speech from a person suffering from late-stage dementia, complete with periodic aphasia, for hours upon hours every day. And we know how unhealthy that is.

When walking to the store tonight, a fox jumped out of the bushes and ambled off. I don't see foxes too often in this urban environment, so I consider that a good luck sign!

A $25 billion penalty against Fecesbook sounds like quite a lot of money, and perhaps it is, but they have grown to the point of making $66 billion in a single quarter.

The only penalty which will stop these assholes from committing murder is putting them in jail.

This whole 4 thing is like expecting your home to be protected by Brinks, and instead finding a MasterLock on the front door.

Jeez, these CHUDs going completely 'women must never be muscular' against Rose Belmont and trying to anime-waifu her into their idea of a proper female protagonist.

Stick to Call of Duty, boys. Oh wait, you can't anymore, that series has a pretty strong female avatar here and there too, on account of being fucking SOLDIERS.

Guess you'll just have to pen yourselves and your wank material away from the rest of us civilized folks who aren't upset that a fictional woman has a nice set of trapezoids. Ta.

Congratulations to Alberta for opting to remain with Canada for question #10, and simultaneously making the rest of Canada reconsider if we want to keep you on the other 9.

I would like to see Waymo Appreciation Teams.

Four people, masked and anonymized, finding a Waymo parked, rushing up to it, and flipping it on its back, then running off. It's a victimless crime.

Anyone who wants to restrict or limit access to or the contents of public libraries is the enemy.

Treat them accordingly.

Furrfu. Tree of Savior sometimes gives the players a 7-day token (paid subscription time) for the login reward. Usually a monthly thing, sometimes a maintenance thing. I just checked my character and team storage, and I have 19 of the bloody things. I could play with the sub bonuses active for a whole five months without paying a dime, which is good, because they're rather exorbitant on the MTX, as is only to be expected.

Still probably not getting an SR Kupole again anytime soon.

Had scalloped potato, but was not enough. Need more.

Yearly-review workplace training videos are bad enough without text-to-speech and LLMs all over the place.

Fingernails on the chalkboard, I swear.

High school football has a number of signifiers which show that it causes significant and irreversible damage to young bodies and minds, demonstrated by numerous studies. Therefore, I hereby propose that due to the dangers to our youth, participation in high school football be banned until the age of 25.

Periodical reminder that TERFs are feminist in the same way that Nazis are socialist.

Any ICC signatories should immediately cease doing business with Donald J. Trump.

Scotland? Nationalize his golf courses. Other countries? Every asset he has, tear it away. Rip it out. Remove any reason he has to visit your country. You'll be better off in the end anyway.
