IT’S WOIMSDAY

I hope all the parents remembered to double-check their kids' #Halloween candy. There are some sick, sick people out there.

I have a battery hot take.

Two days ago I learned carbon zinc batteries are not leaking
huh!

Thanks, @TechConnectify

the sooner this goes kaputt the better

when something is an overall drain on society and humanity then rooting against it is rooting for good

Very good comment "Why doesn't anthropic use AI to run the company instead of executives and shareholders?" in regards tO anthropic recent S1 filing.

Yeah why don't they use AI to run the company?
they vote with their money and they vote AGAINST it.

to be honest... it makes sense. I wouldn't trust AI either. But I am not selling the world on "trust my AI"

yeah at work we code review before the merge and CI/CD runs on feature branches.
Yeah.

GitLab / GitHub engrain a way of thinking which is very helpful for a loose collection of inviduals who don't trust each other but really odd choice for a team of experts.

Martin Fowler says Continuous Integration requires... integrating continuoiusly!

Everybody agrees until they read...
merge a lot (feature flags hide unfishished work), CI/CD runs only on the main line, code review are important but less important that integrating all the time and thus code review happens (but AFTER the merge).

I am tired of the merge request cargo cult.

People who believe the flow of GitHub is the be-all-end-all and people who can't think beyond that

All my friends know today I learned the term techno-orientalism and I am making it their problem

it's just not as realistic with Panam being bankrupt...

too someone like me... a homomorphism is just a morphism...

I finally did it

I invented halloween-plans

after not having them for like 3 weeks

Was trage ich denn nachher zum Kinder mit Karies versorgen?

For rushed Halloween decorations I have a parking space outside for witches to park their brooms and one space is reserved for electric only.

Someone has parked a vacuum cleaner in it.

Happy Night of Self-Indulgence

I'm seeking low low-fps screen capture which I can take to prove I typed out a text myself
I usually write very non-linear but those writers block "time gaps" where I ponder many seconds in reagrds to how to continue a sentence show the genuity writing process

basically "how to OBS with 1 frame every 5 seconds" or something. Result is sped up but legible.

anyone have a recommendation for a #vacuumrobot?

Ideally with no app, cloud and AI bullshit. It should just do its job properly, and it must not trip over cables or fall down a flight of stairs.

Is that to much too ask?

I need shipping to Germany.

Thanks yall
