I just noticed that a #bot with the following user agent is crawling the #fediverse:

Mozilla/5.0+(compatible; FediralBot/1.0; https://www.fediral.com/bot)

They do not explain why they're doing this, the website just says "Launching soon!". I've blocked them for now.

Windows 10 was never good but Winslop 11 is somehow still significantly worse.

Let me also remind you that #GitHub somehow still hasn't figured out how to setup #IPv6 for their main services. Pretty lame if you ask me.

I feel like they might have been #VibeCoding too hard instead of improving the platform.

So apparently #GitHub is having some issues. Their status page claims "All Systems Operational" but the way none of the stylesheets on that page are loading I can confidently say that's a lie. It's been extremely unstable over the last few days.

The #GNOME project's predatory attitude is a thread to the rest of the desktop Linux ecosystem.

#FluentAssertions has been taken over by a hostile company. They have changed the license from Apache 2.0 to some bs commercial license, probably without consent from the contributors. I've created a fork, feel free to depend on it if you need a drop-in replacement that won't just change the license.

The #PHP programming language has been significantly improved within the last few years.

Unfortunately setting everything up, especially when you want a secure, production ready server, is still just as painful as it was 10 years ago. Why the fuck is the configuration file so huge? Why is setting up extensions so annoying?

"We need a framework that parses the source code during runtime and then generates more PHP files as cache" - Some dipshit junior dev probably (looking at you #Symfony)

Petition to rename #politics to #yappalympics

The need for #Python virtual environments is a symptom of the fundamentally broken package management system. Choosing Python for anything bigger than a toy project is a huge mistake.

It's disconcerting how many "admins" are afraid of setting up #IPv6 in their networks.

I've been successfully brainwashed by #NixOS but how can I force my boss and colleagues to to join the cult?

I have just released the first version of my #csharp client library for the #Streamlabs socket API. It allows you to receive events from Streamlabs in real-time and is available via the #nuget package registry.

Can we please rewind time to before people started using #javascript for backend development?

Recently I've started experimenting with #SvelteKit. The result is #TwitchMultichat, a web app that merges multiple #Twitch chats into one chat window. It can be used as a chat overlay in #OBS by adding a simple browser source.
