The context on why MECFS has been neglected for so long is invaluable.

PACE ruined my life after DWP made us join their local group and forced us to do exercises. Exhorting us to push through a little more each time.
Any refusal would result in a review of benefits with the potential to stop them, so we complied. My Fibromyalgia and CFS/ME both got a lot worse after.

Two older drugs I hadn't heard of before. Ampligen and Vyvgart.
"The reason why so many trials get stopped or paused is because of mediocre results,” she says. “And the reason the mediocre results are happening is because of this heterogeneity and not being able to identify a respondent population.”
"Among other things, Peterson measures natural killer (NK) cell function to help determine whether a patient is a good candidate for Ampligen."
I'm part way through Becky Chamber's Wayfarer series.

The world building and character work in the first book was good, but the second book (A closed a common orbit) is truly great.
The way she explores the depravity; and transcendent grace; people are capable of is very special. Heartbreaking, gripping and still uplifting in the end.
The National "Anti"-Corruption Commission (NACC) will not finish investigating the corrupt behaviour of its' inaugural boss because it would be " too expensive" and "Brereton's safety".
It's hard to write satire in a kleptocracy.

The world's biggest battery manufacturer is now selling direct to customers.

Wholesale buyers still get a lower price, but this option might still be cheaper. (It will put downward pressure on the margin middlemen can charge at mimimum).
A very positive sign there is enough manufacturing capacity to serve the stationary storage market.

Easy to forget we don't have answers for some of the most basic questions, like:

New drug that alters skeletal muscle metabolism - a β2 agonist. https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2026/06/260603015541.htm
Early days, but it might be of use (off label) for the subset of MECFS patients with high adrenergic autoantibody levels.
Maybe immunoabsorption to remove auto antibodies, then a course of this new drug?
Very interesting talk. A novel idea for me is that 'sickness behaviour' neural circuits being involved in Post Acute Infection Syndromes (PAIS).
https://youtube.com/watch?v=7TFjcOIshxA
It would explain how non infectious injuries or toxins could cause MECFS.
He also explains really well how pairs of processes can get stuck in positive feedback loops, leading to pathological outcomes.
eg. Inflammation damaging mitochondria, which leads to more inflammation, etc.

Who is your favourite Slay the Spire 2 enemy?
Seapunk is so damn adorable, and beautifully animated.
What you guy think about not being able to skip relics in chests?
I had a run with the relic that deals 20 damage to all enemies if you finish a turn with no cards in hand. A chest forced unceasing top on me, breaking the previous relic.
A question mark a few floors later let me swap unceasing top for a different relic, but still. Damn.
Interesting pods on the new city. You should check out this account

Covers natural building, and of particular interest to that nice sounding billionaire - promotes the panelised straw building work being done in Europe.
Easy to do 4 stories, can do the interior (clay) and exterior (lime) plasters in the factory. Crane the panels into position, add windows and doors - now you have air tight buildings to fit out.

Finished runs with all the characters for the first time. Wins with Ironclad, Necrobinder and Defect.
Necrobinder seems a lot of fun, the Regent seems to be such a different character with mind bending mechanics.
Defect was my favourite character from 1, so I'm not sure how I feel about focus gains seeming to be temporary. That could make for very different play styles.

First it was the poor and disabled (robodebt scam, then gutting the NDIS), now the elderly.
You are next.
Dark embrace, war cry x2, cool headed x3, recycle, foresight and back flip made a great draw engine.
Aggregate, happy flower, ancient tea set, ice cream, gremlin horn, art of war; and recycling X cost cards generated tons of energy.
Bird-faced urn (with amplify+), meal ticket and pantograph took care of the healing.
And Wave of the hand+ with frost orbs is such a good combo.
