In the most hilarious irony, Iran caused regime change in the US

Rock on!!

FIRST PARAGRAPH ON THE FRONT PAGE OF TODAY'S ATLANTA JOURNAL CONSTITUTION: In 1860, an enslaved man named Sheppard Peek was listed among the possessions of William Peek, a white man in Crawfordville. His value was placed at $1,400. On another surviving document, Sheppard signed his name with an X. More than a century and a half later, Sheppard’s great-great-granddaughter, Keisha Lance Bottoms, is Georgia’s governor-elect. https://www.ajc.com/politics/2026/11/keisha-lance-bottoms-crawfordville-governors-mansion/

It’s a curious thing about the US political system that, despite having been rinsed by the Democrats and losing both houses of Congress, the defeated incumbents don’t relinquish their seats until January. There is something useful the outgoing Republicans could do though — especially as they should have lost their fear of Trump and he’s lost them their seats on the gravy train. They could use the 25th Amendment and take Trump with them.

Stolen from X: Pete Hegseth wanted people to watch a public execution; well, they're seeing it tonight.

I’m reflecting on all the different types of people who won as Democrats tonight. Different genders, different races, different ethnicities, different sexual orientations. Differences in style and, to some degree, in substance. But all recognizably and clearly antifascist, pro-democracy, committed to pluralistic constitutional democracy, rule of law.

That commonality should not be taken for granted. It is the bedrock on which we can build a more just and livable country.

Deb Haaland makes history to become the first-ever First Nations governor of a US state. She will be the 108th governor of New Mexico.

Texas is a blue state. ⭐

Some Republican representatives are going to take a hit to their bank balance. Putin isn’t going to keep funding them if they’re not in a position to influence anything.

Why yes I will be partaking in No Nazi November

That sound you hear all across DC tonight is a lot of corporate lobbyists adding their pronouns back into their email signatures.

HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!! I don't think my heart can take it! The first black woman elected governor in the US - EVER!😭😭😭

I may have fallen down a particularly niche rabbit hole over the weekend and made a thing that generates 3D models of all the varieties of electricity tower in Britain.

It's way over the top, like generating all the individual struts and bolts kind of over the top 🤓⚡

Massive credit due to Daniel Beardsmore and his specularly nerdy website and drawings of towers

Seems Merz doesn't understand the difference between data-residency and data-sovereignty. Nor does he understand the scope of Trump's 2017 CLOUD act, which expressly states any data in any datacenter that is the property of a US corporation, regardless of where it physically resides in the world, can ultimately be accessed by US statecraft, on demand.

There is no 'data sovereignty' with GAFAM. Ever.
