This could end up looking like crap, but it'll be my handcrafted poopsville. I'm not particularly anti AI, but this event is a break from all that.

FFConf in 2018. It's _always_ been a family run affair - and we love that you all get to be part of that family.
I spend most of my year working alone in an office, occasional video call meetings, but for this one particular day I really do appreciate the human connection.
I managed to spend a week on holiday at an all inclusive and lose 2½lbs.
Mother will be pleased.

I have bought a planer (or a plane, it's not the flying kind, unless I get frustrated). And so, consistently with my sawing, I'm able to plane humps and troughs.

80 minutes door to door. PHP upgraded along with OS and the RAM and CPU (_and_ that has been downgraded again, because I don't need that extra capacity).
Only because I used an LLM to guide me - there's no way I would have managed (since I also had to fix our mail software at the same time).
Oh, and now I'm having to upgrade the "hardware" (increasing RAM and CPU) otherwise it's going to take to deep into the night… 😴
And I get to upgrade the entire operating system along the way. Yay…
Spent the day seeing reports of PHP vuln and have been (w)racking my brain (because is it rack or wrack…who knows) as to whether any of the WAY TOO MANY services I run has PHP.
And yep, right at the end of the night, I finally found the only one. Sod.

I *really* don't understand Music Assistant in Home Assistant. I connected it to Bandcamp expecting it would only play songs I've bought, and now it's streaming songs I've not bought. Nor am I paying for a subscription - so…no idea.
Guys, yes, *just* the guys, watch this. Jo shouldn't have to tell us, but do ask yourself: have you seen this? Have you done this? Can you do better next time?

It's 19 events because we ran the same event twice (Thurs + Fri) for 3 years…
Just smashed my way through The Correspondent (book) in 6 days, so picking my next read. It's down to these two:
1. As You Wake, Break the Shell by Becky Chambers
2. Heavenly Tyrant (Iron Widow, Book 2) by Xiran Jay Zhao
