Bill Evans in #cyanotype

i'm desperate at this point so i guess i'll put out a #getfedihired call.

i've been coding for 12 years, i've been doing linux sysadmin for, like, 5.

i have particular strength in web development, anything C# or .NET, and the Windows API.

no requirements to line of work.

i live in london, UK. i am a dual european and UK citizen, anywhere in europe is fine. i am open to remote (don't mind office days) or possibly relocating elsewhere in the UK (or europe).

Why do so many sites slap up the "Accept notifications?" prompt while you're reading an article, the first. and possibly only time you'll ever go there?
Ditto mailing list field that sometimes looks like the login?
Simple web design has degraded drastically since 1995.

If there was going to be an influx of Brazilian Portugese speakers, it would be absolutely wonderful if there were a few BP speakers present to welcome them in their own language and point them to other BP speakers.

You can vote for, but you can also vote against. If you don't vote at all, you don't deserve the voice you are given by the constitution and you deserve no say about anything that happens in "your" country.
ABSTAIN = vote for status quo.

Here's more on the Westmore scandal.

You see the name of Westmore on many movies of that era.

Millicent Patrick created the Creature from the Black Lagoon. A jealous co-worker, Bud Westmore claimed credit for it.
Press tour "The Beauty Who Created the Beast" was quickly changed by Westmore to "The Beauty Who Lives With the Beast", to avoid citing Patrick as the creator of the Gill-man. When she returned to Los Angeles, Patrick was informed that she no longer worked for Universal Studios"

This is one of my favorite #books from a favorite author. It paints a picture of many decades and many places over those years. I rarely read anything this long (over 500 pages)., I've read it at least twice.

I had a trio in Paris by this name, "Black, Blanc, Beurre"

The LCD touch screen on our oven is going bad. It took a long, long time and many presses to change the time, and then to validate the change. When that button goes, there will be no DST. We just need to remember it's off by an hour. But when the side with the oven functions no longer works, it'll be microwave only. We'll have to find a way to replace the panel.
The software is pretty lame. Rather than separate H, M, and S settings, you have to turn the HMS knob 60 times to change the hour!

New on Antidote Zine dot com: an open letter from prisoners of the ongoing uprisings in France.

"We are from every neighborhood, town, and city in the region. We are of every age, skin color, and nationality; we are Arabs, white people, Black people, Roma, Turks, Germans, French people...

We call on you to reject every division between us and to declare loud and clear what we are fighting for: revolution."

I was going to suggest that you make a choice based on what is best for your city, state or country, but instead, I'll trust you to do that, but PLEASE VOTE.
Abstention is an enemy of democracy.

Interesting.

Agreably surprised by Pond5 support. I needed something and they handled it within a couple of hours!

Bandcamp: one or more months
Leroy Merlin: one month and I still haven't received it
Musescore: also a month

If you make music, look into Pond5. I've been there for years. Money does come in.
Also if you want to license music, photos, videos, it's very good.

I remember the trauma of my own birth!
This will be track one of my coming autobiographical album entitled, "Alife".
Wait until I get to the "Puberty" track!
