one time in college at a party (pretransition) i hooked up with a girl named ally at a party and she was cool and shes a lesbian now but anyway my point is that must get mispronounced all the time like ally as in "straight ally" insted of al-ee and also going by ally when actually gay is funny like just go by alice instead it's still a shortening of allison

glorious

i saw a really big mantis

if anyone on here has an employer that is just going to throw out some perfectly decent slightly out of date employee laptops, or something like that...

...can i have one? it would solve a lot of my home network's inadequacies

"voting doesnt help"

ok look i hear you, i get it

but someone named yuri is running for school board

this is my chance to help enact the queer agenda and make their kids gay

we defederated xenofemme and TLA long ago, but occasionally some of their hate diarrhea seeps out of their pants and into the buffet and this whole fight starts all over again

ive been told before that having a transmasc partner means i can never have any valid opinion on transmisogyny, and if you think that too, let me know so i can fediblock you

transmascs are awesome

shoutout to my transmasc spouse

shitty replies will get your whole instance defederated

consider the following

pencil

saw this and it kinda made my day a bit. it's so rare to see stuff like writing, or stickers, or graffiti, so this is super cool

i call bullshit

"visual snow syndrome" is just what it's like to have vision

the snow effect, afterimages, seeing colorful waves or shapes in the dark, wild shit when staring at a solid color bright surface, isnt this fuckin normal????

like. arent these just normal

wait. do most people not have visual snow? like. the film grain over life isnt normal?

book recommendation: The Lamb Will Slaughter the Lion by Margaret Killjoy

this one is the first in a series of anarchist eldritch horror novellas. it's a really fucking neat and thoughtful examination of how power is violence no matter who wields it and how communities must contend with that fact.

it's not the first thing of hers ive read; her short story collection We Won't Be Here Tomorrow is excellent and i really enjoy her anarchist history podcast, Cool People Who Did Cool Stuff. im looking forward to reading the sequels and her new not-YA book The Sapling Cage :D
