retooted bk.onetales of the moment & THE SILENT AUCTION
ROUND TWO
The ever-growing series Tales of the Moment & The Silent Auction is entering its second round. This time, with a special purpose: the coming winter will once again bring great challenges and, all too often, life-threatening situations for people experiencing homelessness.
YamYam, located at Alte Schönhauser Straße 6 in Berlin, is generously opening its doors for four weeks. For the first time since it opened, photographs will be displayed on its walls – all in support of a good cause.
As with the first exhibition, the photographs will be presented as small 15 × 20 cm prints, attached directly to the walls. They meet everyday life, become part of a place and invite visitors to pause for a moment.
Bids can be placed on individual photographs throughout the entire exhibition. After the exhibition closes, the highest bidder for each image will receive a newly made print of the photograph they have won.
All proceeds will go to the winter relief programme of Berliner Stadtmission, with a particular focus on supporting the Kältebus (Cold Relief Bus), which visits people experiencing homelessness on the streets of Berlin during the winter months and offers them assistance.
Bid on a photograph. Give the gift of warmth.
