"...An adult paid. A child was exploited. The platform took a cut."

Somebody close to me also had something like that happen before... these corps are profiting from "transactional sexual content" 🤮
Their child-addiction co-defendants #Meta, #Google and #Snap are also a risk to children!

Who is easier to manipulate than a kid? An addicted kid.

found a work around for the missing stuff: manually adding the part of Mastodon you want to visit in the Url e.g. for the missing settings: mastodon.social/settings

No log out option, guess a third party can freely exploit my session for now 😬

Will leave for now, hopefully everything is back to normal or at least functional when I come back ;)

#Mastodon trying to look like #Bluesky now?
New UI needs a lot of work it seems.
Among other things I'm completely missing settings 🫤

#Meta quickly changed their brand new commercial terms after the #news of their plans to "train" on data broke and were covered by major publications!

Seems they haven't heard of the web archive yet: http://web.archive.org/web/20261016114851/https://www.facebook.com/legal/commercial_terms_preview

The word "train" disappeared within a day of the #AI training speculations.

Part 2 of the paragraph:

...that are associated with your products or services, or that are made available through your or users' use of Meta Company Products and services, and to periodically pull updates from such domains, web pages, or URLs in order to provide, develop, improve, research, and maintain advertising and business products...

"your or users' use" is especially concerning, as it is extremely loosely phrased and would cover a wide range of people.

Part 1 of the paragraph:

"You authorize us (or any entity acting on our behalf) to use automated software (such as web scrapers, bots, robots, spiders, crawlers, and user agents) and create test credentials to access, index, cache, analyze, collect, retrieve, or crawl the domains, web pages, or URLs (and any content available through them)..."

So this data can even be collected by 3rd parties working with Meta?

Businesses & affiliated entities should REALLY reconsider using ANY #Meta product.

By using WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook... they now automatically opt-in to their websites getting scraped, collected & used to train (likely) #MetaAI.

It includes the creation of fake accounts (so called test credentials¹) to gain further access, to restricted data.

Only options to opt-out:
1) #DeMeta
2) Robots.txt with:
User-agent: FacebookBot
Disallow: /
User-agent: Meta-ExternalAgent
Disallow: /

Nothing motivates people to voluntarily become slaves and do whatever is asked of them like hunger!

The #Fediverse is at risk, we need to: #STOPEUKIDSACT NOW!

https://www.heise.de/en/background/Age-verification-in-the-Fediverse-How-the-KIDS-Act-challenges-Mastodon-11474306.html

This law affects everyone, especially people in the #EU and is an attempt to implement ID verification on: Video-sharing platforms, #AI chatbots, AI companions, online games, software app stores and operating systems

Meta glasses were caught spying on their users once more: https://www.androidauthority.com/ray-ban-meta-glasses-listening-3722586/

Meta was quick to "fix" and therefore admit it:

Ad blockers are more important than ever, now that ads can pose a serious security risk:

On a side note: Reading stuff like that really makes you realize it’s just a spin-off, not an original Taylor Sheridan production ;)

🇺🇸 Today I learned of the "War on Violence". Paradoxical as it sounds, I felt it perfectly captured much of #US domestic & foreign policy.

From the "War on Drugs" to current conflicts, the US continues to invoke the prevention of #violence as a pretext for unleashing far more of it on the world 🪖🚀💔

Meta's Muse AI strongly reminds me of the Mechanical Turk.

A magical device, pretending to function autonomously, when in all actuality a person inside is pulling the levers.

🌌 The #US Space Force is like a self-fulfilling prophecy:

First they announce this:

"...Pentagon has definitively deployed active space-based weapons platforms."

Then they declare peaceful, untouched and shared #Space:
"Space is both a battlefield..."

Their counterparts around the world do the same, & these warmongers have brought us one step closer to turning the last frontier into a military #conflict zone.

SPACE IS FOR ALL MANKIND - No leadership can change that!
