well so if medium is the message, then your choice of medium carries a lot of weight!

even IF by any magic ai (thinking llm here) were not problematic (i know. stay with me here), even IF that was the case... they are soooooo booooooring!!!!

sure they look flashy on first sight, but then, they get insanely boring. just like their texts. boooooooorings.

"oh they are so powerful. we are creating machine gods"

most fucking boring god in the universe.

booooooooring!

i am very excited to
release the new album,
and to perform this music live.

But first one last concert in oslo this saturday for
the anti big tech festival.

much love,
kristoffer

As part of dealing with burnout and the stress of the world,
I decided I needed to
log off for a bit.

So to compose Allostasis,
I spent a year working
without a computer
in the studio.

I used modular synths and hardware, recording onto
an old Tascam 238 cassette recorder.

finally! no-problem batch of vinyls have arrived!

my new album allostasis
will be released 20.11.2026!

Shall we go back to "libre" software since now apparently "free and open source" people think means "I ripped this off using Claude and I have a GitHub acocunt"?

Jeg innså plutselig at jeg gjerne deltar på flere podcasts. Jeg synes det var gøy, og jeg trenger åpenbart litt mer øvelse i å si ting uten «øøøh», «eeeeh», og å huske å ARTIKULERE.

When I played in Slovenia as part of @kamizdat Rentgen tour I was lucky to share the stage two nights with Karmen Ponikvar.

I picked up her USB-album and wow this is just beautiful!

I wonder how we can facilitate more collaboration and helping of people with (tech related) things.

It seems to me that people who use LLM`s use them because they need help or want to deligate part of something they don`t care that much about.

Musicians use ai for videos, video makers use ai for music. The solution to this example seems like a non-brainer.

How about tech issues? Debugging? I know I help my friends, but people literally make FOSS so people do want to contribute.

hmmmmmmm.

What's the best way to upgrade pipewire/wireplumber on debian trixie? I'd like to run the latest version and not the one packaged by Debian

About the album

As part of dealing with burnout and the stress of the world, I decided I needed to log off for a bit. So to compose Allostasis, I spent a year working without a computer in the studio. Instead, I used modular synths and hardware, recording onto an old Tascam 238 cassette recorder.

After a year of recording, I selected the strongest material and spent four months listening, organizing, and reworking the sounds.

The first three tracks, which make up side A, are collages of different parts, melodies, textures, and loops from my big pile of cassette recordings. Side B presents two unaltered live recordings straight from tape.

This morning I was reading my book about how the competition-organized society we are living in leads to uncontrolled accelleration, too much mental admin and by effect a loss of agency and a feeling of alienation.

Then finally I came to the chapter "The concept of resonance, dynamic stabilization, and the availability approach to the good life".

Buuuut then I had to close the book and hurry because I had to get on my way to my job. Oh the irony.

A late kickoff for the season of my talkshow but when we do it we start with something we waited for quite some time: Jenny Hval lost her voice and I lost my momentum both due to covid - now we are SO back and we have a lot to talk about! Håvard Volden won't talk but he will do the music for our show live. Lock in this thursday at 19! on the A/V we got none less than @lislegaard !
