I only have 3GB of pc2-5300 ram Mr. Altman.

Capitalism is amazing. We’ve really done it folks.

Just got an email from LabCorp telling me how valuable my kidneys are. I think OpenAI wants to rent gpu space inside my kidneys since maybe I’m not using them effectively

@Tutanota - there’s a long thread out there about your AI use.

My two recommendations:
1. If you want to temper the situation regarding your “nuanced” stance on AI, write a coherent article on your own platform. Pushing people to Reddit to read comments is a garbage PR strategy. One of the bigger better things should be community relations. People would value that.

2. It’s ok for companies to just straight up not compete with Google.

I’m not a Russian bot and flock cameras are some nazi shit. Fuck you flock and your goddamn surveillance capitalism.

Even php hates php as much as I do.

Got an email from the company that makes my dishwasher. They have gone insane and decided to introduce an AI assistant to their product line. As long as you answer a few key questions it can help you out!

I hate everyone who thinks this is a good idea.

And to make my point on flock inescapably clear: people should certainly not root these fucking devices and ddos their servers with nyan cat on a loop.

No one has to chainsaw down a camera on a pole that’s clearly and audibly playing “it’s a small world after all” on a loop until it burns its little brains out. (Citation needed they probably don’t have speakers)

I absolutely love when it’s totally clear that the fuckwads who build this nazi enablement shit get exposed for being exactly as intelligent as a bag of hammers.

Sure pin versions to insecure wildly outdated releases and hardcode auth tokens and credentials.

“bUt iT CoNneCts wItH OaUTh”

That’s irrelevant if the access method is in the open. The fucking token does nothing if I can also generate them.

Another excellent thread in which [object Object] takes no shit and just reiterates conclusions people come to when they read with their eyes and use their brain.

Encompasses the state of many things nowadays.

RE: https://girlcock.club/@miss_rodent/117251585660626379

The whole thread is good but this is always a good point to make. The people in charge can’t and won’t solve current problems so don’t believe they will solve future problems either.

Let’s just get it over with already: can AI hurry up and cause a mass extinction event or solve all problems and create utopia?

At this point I’m fine either way as long as I never have to hear some asshat talk about how they use LLMs to write their kids a bedtime story every night, instead of say, talking to them.

Three cheers for skynet! You can do it!

Congratulations @wwu !!

You deserve a tech union!

I’m so glad that end-stage capitalism kept me so strung out and exhausted that I never had time to get a password manager service that I’d have to drop because they fund Nazis.

I hate this timeline.

If a map service renames Lake Ontario they can go fuck themselves. Stop legitimizing this shit.

Also there will be a 50 year old guy who looks like he should be in a business meeting just doing fucking awesome ollies and tricks on a skateboard just as if he was practicing in his driveway…on the street in front of Madison square garden.

Just remember: if you ever think your outfit is weird or you stick out, there will be some dude in front of you wearing a volcano themed short sleeve Hawaiian shirt and a cowboy hat, just living his best life. Be that dude.

DOGE was a bunch of assholes. Under no circumstances do you “have to hand it to them” on anything. They didn’t want to improve government - anyone who says otherwise is playing a game to curry favor.

They incorrectly believed that government is rife with reckless spending on pointless things. Everything seems pointless when you’re a fuckwit.

They attempted to institutionalize and apply with rigor: racism, sexism, ableism, ageism, general bigotry and radical neoconservative ideals.

I guess enough Nazis left the bar for people to look the other way.

As a longtime Firefox enthusiast I recently made the mainline switch to @Vivaldi for these exact reasons and more.

I tried librewolf but manually updating software via brew isn’t something I want to add to my list of stuff to do for something like my browser. I constantly lost bookmarks, configurations, even with backups: it was a hassle.

The “not chrome” market is getting really small and it’s a real shame.

Dhh is a cunt. There saved you some time.
